Education minor

Shape the next generation

Many students pair their BA in Biology with a minor in Education, creating a smooth pathway to a Master of Science in Secondary Education.

This combination prepares you to earn certification to teach Biology in grades 4-12. With hands-on classroom practicum experiences and customizable electives, you will graduate confident, qualified, and ready to inspire the next generation of scientists.

Pre-PA concentration

A route toward physician assistant school

UB’s Pre-Physician Assistant concentration includes tailored coursework and advising to meet the prerequisites for PA school.

With access to cutting-edge lab facilities and one-on-one support from expert faculty, you will graduate prepared and PA-school ready. Please note that completing the Pre-PA concentration does not guarantee admission to University of Bridgeport’s Physician Assistant Institute.

Stewardship

Awareness to appreciate the complexity and fragility of our biosphere and the intricate dynamics of balancing systems within it, and the critical tools to exercise responsibility and stewardship by assuming positions of leadership in our global society.
