University of Bridgeport is committed to reducing textbook costs and ensuring all students have equitable access to learning materials on the first day of class. Through our innovative UB Ready inclusive access initiative, required digital course materials, textbooks, and online access codes are automatically provided to students at a 30 to 50 percent savings compared to traditional retail prices.
UB Ready course material fees appear directly on your student billing account, allowing financial aid to cover costs seamlessly without requiring out-of-pocket payments at the start of the semester.

Where is the bookstore located on campus?
The University of Bridgeport Bookstore is located on the ground floor of the Student Center at 244 University Avenue.
Can I use my financial aid to buy books?
Yes. If your financial aid exceeds your institutional tuition and housing charges, you can request a bookstore charge credit through the Bursar Office during the first two weeks of the term.
How do textbook rentals work?
Renting textbooks allows you to save up to 60 percent. You can highlight and take notes in rented books. All rental books must be returned to the store or postmarked by the last day of final exams.
What if my class is canceled or I drop the course?
Bring your bookstore receipt and proof of course withdrawal to the bookstore within the official university drop period for a 100 percent refund.
