Setting Up Your UBNet Account
Your UBNet account is your unified digital passport to all University of Bridgeport network resources. All newly admitted students and new employees receive a unique UBNet username and temporary password following official registration.
To activate your account for the first time, visit the UBNet Account Activation Portal and verify your identity using your Student ID number and date of birth. Once activated, your single username and password grant access across Canvas, Microsoft 365, campus Wi-Fi, and university library databases.
- Format: Typically first initial + last name + occasional number (e.g. jsmith)
- Self-Service Password Reset: Register your cell phone or personal email for instant password recovery
- Campus Wi-Fi: Connect personal laptops and phones to the secure UB-Secure network

How to Reset a Forgotten UBNet Password
If you forget your password, visit the self-service password reset portal at ubnet.bridgeport.edu. If you have not configured recovery questions or need account unlock assistance, contact the IT Help Desk with your student ID number.
