You should not have to quit to qualify
Many of UB’s graduate programs offer flexible options — including online and part-time formats designed to fit your schedule. Eighteen programs are available online and eight run hybrid, so the commute is a browser tab more often than a car. If you have studied at graduate level before, that work may count: UB may accept up to six credits of graduate transfer coursework, or up to eight credits for lab courses, from a regionally accredited institution.

Include any graduate coursework you want considered for transfer credit — final approval rests with your programme or academic dean. UB offers scholarships for select graduate programs, and eligible students may be considered at the time of admission.

During my master’s I learned in-demand technical skills as well as important soft skills required to get a job in the data field. I currently am working as a Data Scientist for Progressive Insurance.
I had the opportunity to have a paper I worked on published in a peer-reviewed journal. UB allowed me to experience the research side of nutrition, and I’m grateful for that experience.
My experience in the SAAL program at UB was wonderful. The flexibility of the curriculum allowed me to obtain a degree while working a full-time job and raising a family.

Can I transfer graduate credits from another institution?
Yes. UB may accept up to six credits of graduate transfer coursework (or up to eight credits for lab courses) from a regionally accredited institution. Transfer credits must be comparable to UB courses and completed with a grade of “B” or better. Final approval is determined by your programme or academic dean.
Are scholarships available for graduate students?
Yes. UB offers scholarships for select graduate programs, and eligible students may be considered at the time of admission.
