Appointments typically take between 2 to 3 hours, and depending on your periodontal condition, comprehensive care may require two visits. Please plan your schedule accordingly.
- Please bring a photo ID and list of current medications to your appointment
- Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- 24-hour advance cancellation notice requested so other community patients can be scheduled
- Copies of digital X-rays can be forwarded directly to your personal dentist upon request
Does the Fones Clinic do fillings, crowns, or extractions?
The Fones Clinic specializes strictly in preventative dental hygiene services: teeth cleaning, deep scaling, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants. For restorative procedures (fillings, root canals, crowns, or extractions), our supervising dentist provides a written referral to community dentists or hospital dental clinics.
Why do appointments take 2 to 3 hours?
As an accredited teaching clinic, student clinicians are evaluated by licensed faculty hygienists and dentists at each stage of the procedure (medical review, charting, scaling, polishing, and examination). This ensures the highest standard of meticulous, safe clinical care.
Is the clinic open during summer or winter breaks?
