The Schelfhaudt Art Gallery is located in the Arnold Bernhard Center for the Arts & Humanities at 84 Iranistan Avenue. Admission to all gallery exhibitions, curator talks, and opening receptions is completely free and open to the public.

About the Schelfhaudt Gallery
Named in honor of philanthropists Paul and Mary Schelfhaudt, the gallery serves as the visual arts center of the Arnold Bernhard Center for the Arts & Humanities. Featuring over 3,000 square feet of museum-grade exhibition space, track lighting, and climate controls, the Schelfhaudt brings world-class contemporary art to Bridgeport’s historic seaside campus.
The gallery also partners with Bridgeport public schools and regional arts councils to provide docent-led tours and educational outreach workshops.

Artist Exhibition Proposals
Curators and professional artists wishing to propose solo or group exhibitions should submit an artist CV, 10–15 digital work samples, and a one-page curatorial proposal to schelfhaudt@bridgeport.edu. Proposals are reviewed annually by the Gallery Advisory Committee.
Class Visits & Docent-Led Group Tours
University classes, high school art academies, and community organizations can arrange private docent-led walkthroughs and curator discussions by emailing the gallery at least two weeks prior to your visit.
