Step-by-Step Application Procedures
Students Applying from Outside the US
Important Information: Your I-20 will be issued by International Admissions for language study only. The duration of study permitted depends on your placement testing results.Required Steps:Complete the online ELI Application formSubmit a clear color copy of the information and photo pages of your passportSubmit an official bank statement showing funds covering at least one session’s tuition and living expensesIf the bank account is not in the student’s name, submit a completed and signed Affidavit of Financial Support
Students Applying to Transfer to ELI
Important Information: You must first submit your application and be admitted. Upon acceptance, you will receive the UB Transfer Form to submit to your current school’s Designated School Official (DSO). You must begin studying at ELI at the next session following your SEVIS transfer.Required Steps:Complete the online ELI Application formSubmit passport copies, your current F-1 visa page, and your current Form I-20Submit an official bank statement showing funds for at least one session’s tuition and living costsHave your current school complete and submit the official UB Transfer FormConfirm with your current DSO that your SEVIS record has been released to University of BridgeportReceive your newly updated UB Form I-20 upon arrival and registration
