Curriculum
Leading technological change
The Technology Management master’s program is designed to develop leaders adept at managing technological change, and skilled in establishing and maintaining superior competitive advantage for their respective enterprises or for new ventures. It is essential that an enterprise continually develops, sources and applies the latest relevant technology in products, services, and systems in support of key business functions such as R&D, marketing, sales, customer service engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, accounting, and distribution.
Problem identification and solutions
Addressing current issues and case studies using creativity and methods for problem identification and solutions.
Communication and leadership
Communicating ideas clearly and persuasively in oral and written structures in both formal and informal settings, with effective leadership and management skills in technology-driven environments.
A culture of innovation
Fostering a culture of innovation within an organization, recognizing the technological, political, and cultural forces that enable and inhibit change.
Technology into business processes
Integrating technological solutions into business processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency by assessing emerging technologies to gain a competitive advantage.

The department offers, as an integral part of the Technology Management master’s degree, the opportunity to specialize in a number of concentrations. These are interdisciplinary and available through various departments to provide more educational and career choices and flexibility for students.

How to apply
Completed application and all supporting documents must be received by July 15 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester.
Program prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited university or recognized international institution
- Recommended cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.90 or higher

- To be considered for a scholarship and prerequisite waivers, you must submit transcripts from each institution attended.
- In certain cases the GRE can be waived based on previous academic performance. After submitting your application and all other required documents you may be admitted without the GRE, or our admissions staff will contact you if the GRE is required for a decision.
Deadlines
A STEM-designated degree
The MS degrees offered by the School of Engineering at University of Bridgeport are classified by ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) degrees. All international students who earn an MS degree are eligible for twelve months of OPT (Optional Practical Training). At the end of those twelve months, the student and the company the student works for can apply for an extension of twenty-four additional months of work, as long as the company is an E-verify company. In summary, a graduate with an MS degree can work under OPT in the USA for a total of thirty-six months. For more information, visit International Student Services.
