Where is the Campus Security office located?
Campus Security headquarters is located on the first floor of Norseman Hall (144 University Avenue). The dispatch center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
How do I request a safety escort at night?
You can request a walking security escort anywhere on campus by calling 203-576-4912 or by tapping the ‘Safety Escort’ button in the LiveSafe mobile app.
How do I register my vehicle and obtain a parking permit?
All students and employees parking on campus must register their vehicle with Campus Security. Permits can be requested online through your MyUB portal and picked up at Norseman Hall.
What should I do in an emergency on campus?
In an emergency, immediately call Campus Security at 203-576-4911 or call 911. You can also activate any of the blue-light emergency phones situated across campus.
How are students alerted during severe weather or campus emergencies?
UB utilizes the LiveSafe Emergency Broadcast System, sending instant text messages, emails, and desktop alerts to all registered students, faculty, and staff in the event of severe weather or emergencies.
