Apply through the UB application portal or the Common Application. There is no fee.

Request it from your school and have it sent to admissions.

UB is test-optional: submit SAT/ACT scores, or a 250–500 word personal essay instead. Admissions are rolling, so your file is reviewed as soon as it is complete — and merit scholarship review happens at the same time.

Is University of Bridgeport test-optional for undergraduates?

Yes. You can choose whether to submit your SAT or ACT scores. If you apply without test scores, you’ll need to submit a 250–500 word personal essay. Please note that some specialized programs may still require test scores — contact your admissions counselor for details.

What is the undergraduate application deadline?

For most programs, a completed application and all supporting materials must be received by August 1 for programs beginning in the fall, and December 15 for programs beginning in the spring. Early Action deadlines are December 1, 2026 and February 1, 2027.

Is there an application fee?

No — there is no fee to apply to University of Bridgeport.
